The Planning and Coordination Division forms one of the 18 Kilolo District Council Divisions and Units. This Division is made up with two sections namely; Planning and Budgeting; and Monitoring and Evaluation sections.
Objective and Functions of the Division
The Objective of Planning and Coordination Division is to provide expertise and services in planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation. This Division is led by a Head and comprise of two (2) Sections each of which is led by Officer In Charge as follows: -
(i) Planning and Budgeting Section; and (ii) Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Section.
The Functions to be performed by the Planning and Coordination Division include: -
To prepare mid- and long-term strategies, plans and budget
To monitor and evaluate implementation of strategies, plans and budget
To prepare and review Council’s socio-economic profile
To coordinate implementation of private sector participation
To coordinate data collection, analysis, interpretation and Storage
Coordinate Council Disaster Management and
To coordinate LGA’s activities implemented by other authorities such as land and water.
Division’s Implementation Performance
In terms of achievement the Division has archieved the following;
Plans and budgetary activities have been prepared every year as well establishment of performance targets and indicators
The periodic performance reports have been prepared quarterly and annually
The data and statistics have been produced and ccoordinated across all sectors to be used in different reports
The statistical backstopping support have been providing during planning and budget preparation
Mid - and long-term strategies, plans and budget prepared
implementation of strategies, plans and budget monitored and evaluated
Private sector participation coordinated
Coordinate Council Disaster Management
LGA’s activities implemented by other authorities such as land and water coordinated.
Coordinate implementation of economic and productive sectors policies
Interpret and disseminate policies of central and sector ministries
